PRINCESS NDAMASE LAUNCHES YOUTH EMPOWERMENT DRIVE AT NDALISO SS
Ndaliso Senior Secondary School became the epicenter of hope and transformation when Princess Nandile Ndamase, Secretary General of the South African Royal Princesses Network, officially launched her ground-breaking activation, Healing Minds, Restoring Dignity.
Founded, launched, and personally facilitated by Princess Ndamase, the initiative is aimed at tackling some of the most pressing social challenges faced by young people today, with a strong focus on mental health awareness and empowerment.

In partnership with UNISA, the program encouraged learners to prioritize their emotional well-being, highlighting the importance of early intervention and open conversations around mental health. Learners also received practical guidance on how to apply on time for university – a critical step in shaping their academic and professional futures.

The event was warmly received by both learners and staff at Ndaliso SS. Their enthusiastic welcome underscored the school’s eagerness to embrace opportunities that uplift and inspire.
The day’s success was further strengthened by the contributions of key partners. The Mdledle Foundation distributed sanitary towels to learners, breaking the stigma surrounding menstrual health while restoring dignity for young women. FNB added a vital dimension by offering financial literacy training, equipping learners with essential money management skills and tools for building financial independence.
A highlight of the program was the keynote address delivered by King Silosohlanga kaDakhile Sigcau. His message emphasized the importance of mental health and safety in initiation schools, while also condemning gender-based violence. He called on the youth to foster a culture of respect and accountability, urging them to take charge of their futures with integrity.

Princess Ndamase expressed heartfelt gratitude to her partners and the school community, reaffirming her vision for the initiative as a national movement.
“This is only the beginning,” she said. “Ndaliso SS is the first school, but it will not be the last. My goal is to uplift more schools within the amaMpondo community, ensuring that every young person knows their dreams and their well-being matter.”
The launch of Healing Minds, Restoring Dignity set a powerful precedent, blending education, empowerment, and community care. With Princess Nandile Ndamase at the helm, the program promises to touch and transform countless young lives across South Africa.
