PRINCESS NANDILE NDAMASE EXTENDS HELPING HAND TO MFUNDISWENI ORPHANAGE

In a gesture that blended compassion with community leadership, Princess Nandile Ndamase, Secretary General of the South African Royal Princesses Network, has reached out to the vulnerable by visiting iXabiso Lomntu, an orphanage caring for needy in Mfundisweni.

During her visit, the Princess was warmly received by community leader Chief Ayanda Faku. She handed over food parcels to support the children and their caregivers, with part of the donation sourced directly from her family-owned farm, Ntananda Agricultural Project Primary Co-operative. The rest of the items were purchased through her personal contribution.

Chief Faku commended the initiative, calling it “a gift that not only meets immediate needs but also reminds the children that they are seen and valued.”

Princess Ndamase said the visit was just the beginning of broader efforts to support her community. She revealed that she is developing a school-based initiative aimed at addressing mental health awareness and combating gender-based violence among high school learners. The programme will include workshops designed to strengthen resilience and provide access to crucial support systems.

The initiative is set to bring together traditional leadership and academia, with His Majesty King Silosohlanga kaDakhile Sigcau expected to take part, and the University of South Africa (UNISA) offering key support in shaping and implementing its educational aspects.

Through her ongoing efforts, Princess Ndamase continues to shine a light on the challenges faced by vulnerable groups, while inspiring others to contribute to community upliftment.
