ECONOMIC BOOST FOR DUDUMENI COMMUNITY

In a significant move to enhance economic development and job creation, the Masakhane Group received a substantial machinery handover yesterday, February 25, 2025. The event, attended by esteemed stakeholders, marked a crucial collaboration between the Masakhane Group, SANRAL, BELL, and Standard Bank.
The impressive machinery package, valued at over R50 million, includes a range of equipment designed to bolster the Masakhane Group’s operational efficiency. The package comprises a Finlay J-1175 Jaw Crusher, Finlay C-1540 Cone Crusher, Finlay 694+ Inclined Screener, two BELL B18 Articulated Dump Trucks, a JCB 455ZX Wheel Loader, and a Kobelco SK380XDLC-10 Excavator.
This substantial investment is expected to create new job opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the region. MEC for Transport, Mr. Xolile Nqatha, praised the cooperation between the stakeholders, highlighting the significance of this collaboration in driving economic development.

Mr. Noshweleka, owner of Masakhane Group, emphasized the importance of black-owned businesses in bringing opportunities to communities and contributing to economic growth. Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr Daniswa Mafumbata, expressed gratitude to Mr. Notshweleka and the stakeholders, commending the employment opportunities created by Masakhane Group.
This development is a testament to the government’s efforts to promote economic growth and job creation, as outlined in the State of the Nation Address 2025. The initiative is also in line with the Department of Small Business Development’s mission to support small businesses and cooperatives.

The Dudumeni community, ward 08, is poised to benefit significantly from this investment, which is expected to enhance the region’s economic prospects.
