NEW COMMUNITY HALL PROJECT FOR RESIDENTS IN BIZANA
In a significant move to foster social cohesion and community development, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr. Daniswa Mafumbatha, officially handed over the contractor, XS Dollars, to the Ward 16 community for the construction of a new community hall.
This project, which was announced on the municipality’s website in August 2024, promises to provide a vibrant hub for social, cultural, and economic activities. The new community hall will offer a safe and accessible space for community members to gather, socialize, and participate in various activities.
Mayor Mafumbatha expressed her gratitude to the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) for allowing the municipality to host its community meetings in their church for many years. “This gesture has been invaluable to the community, and we acknowledge the AFM’s kindness and generosity,” she said.

The construction of the community hall is expected to have a positive impact on the community, fostering social cohesion, community building, and local economic development. As the municipality continues to work towards improving the lives of its residents, this project is a significant step in the right direction.
The Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality is committed to providing quality services and infrastructure to its communities. With this new community hall project, the municipality is reaffirming its dedication to the well-being and development of its residents.
