FORMER INKONJANE COMMUNITY RADIO EMPLOYEE TAKES THE REINS AS MEDIA PRACTITIONER AT MATATIELE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

Naubry Zigana, a talented and ambitious communications specialist, has been appointed as the new Media Practitioner at the Matatiele Local Municipality. This appointment marks a significant milestone in Zigana’s career, and she is eager to bring her skills and expertise to the role.

A native of KwaLunda, Matatiele, Zigana’s passion for communication and community development began at a young age. She completed her high school education at Maluti Senior School, laying the foundation for her future academic pursuits.

Zigana went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Science from the University of South Africa (Unisa). Her academic achievements did not stop there, as she is currently pursuing her Honours degree in Media Studies at Unisa.

Prior to her appointment at the Matatiele Local Municipality, Zigana worked as a senior reporter at Inkonjane Community Radio, where she honed her skills in journalism and community outreach. Her experience and expertise in communications make her an ideal fit for her new role.

As Media Practitioner, Zigana will be responsible for enhancing communication strategies, promoting municipal services and initiatives, and fostering community partnerships. She is committed to working tirelessly to promote transparency, accountability, and effective communication.
