CAF AWARDS 2024: AFRICA’S BEST IN FOOTBALL HONORED IN MARRAKECH
Marrakech, Morocco – The 2024 CAF Awards ceremony was held today in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrating the best of African football. The prestigious event brought together the who’s who of African football, honoring outstanding players, coaches, and teams.
In the men’s category, Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman took home the coveted Men’s Best Player award. Lookman’s impressive performances on the pitch earned him this well-deserved recognition.
Zambia’s Barbra Banda was crowned Women’s Best Player, a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.
Emerse Faè of Côte d’Ivoire was named Men’s Best Coach, while Lamia Boumedi of Morocco received the Women’s Best Coach award.
The Men’s Best Goalkeeper award went to Ronwen Williams of South Africa, who also claimed the Inter-Club Player of the Year award. Chiamaka Nnadozie of Nigeria was honored as the Women’s Best Goalkeeper.

In the club category, Al Ahly FC of Egypt took home the Men’s Club of the Year award, while TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo was named Women’s Club of the Year.
The Ivory Coast national team was recognized as the Men’s National Team of the Year, with Nigeria’s Super Falcons claiming the Women’s National Team of the Year award.
Rounding out the winners were Lamine Camara of Senegal, who received the Men’s Young Player of the Year award, and Doha El Madani of Morocco, who took home the Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
These awards celebrate the exceptional talent and hard work of African footballers, coaches, and teams. Congratulations to all the winners!
