MTHATHA MAN APPEARS IN COURT FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF 31-YEAR-OLD BOYFRIEND

A 74-year-old man from Mthatha appeared in the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court on Driday, December 6, 2024, for allegedly killing his 31-year-old boyfriend, Ludwe Hlalukana.

According to reports, the incident occurred on December 4, 2024, at the old man’s residence. The family of the deceased claims that the couple had been in a relationship for a long time and that on the day of the incident, they got into a fight, which allegedly resulted in the old man beating Ludwe to death.

However, in a contradictory report, the old man allegedly told the police that Ludwe was trying to break into his house. The family disputes this claim, stating that Ludwe had been living with the old man.

The motive behind the alleged murder is still unclear, and the case is ongoing.

Ludwe’s funeral is scheduled for December 12, 2024.

The community of Mthatha is still reeling in shock following the incident, with many calling for justice to be served.
