ALFRED NZO RECEIVES CLEAN AUDIT OPINION FOR 2023/24 FINANCIAL YEAR

The Alfred Nzo District Municipality (ANDM) receives & welcomes a clean audit report from the Auditor General of SA for the 2023/2024 financial year.

Auditor General’s report covered critical areas of financial management, compliance to legislations, good governance & performance against set targets.

Welcoming this astonishing success, the ANDM Executive Mayor Cllr. Vukile Mhlelembana referenced it to a stable environment in the District, high level of oversight, structures in place & operate effectively, internal controls and systems.

“This achievement shows an unwavering commitment to transparency, proper financial management, accountability & dedication by team Alfred Nzo. This improvement from an unqualified audit opinion shows the dedication of improving levels of service delivery from employees, councillors and the entire community of Alfred Nzo”, said Cllr. Mhlelembana.

The Executive Mayor further congratulated Umzimvubu Local Municipality for attaining a clean audit and Ntabankulu LM for maintaining their unqualified audit status. Cllr. Mhlelembana committed to working with Matatiele Local Municipality & Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality to improve their audit outcomes.
