SUNDOWNS AND RHULANI MOKOENA PART WAYS

Mamelodi Sundowns and Rhulani Mokwena have reached a mutual agreement to end their working relationship, bringing an end to Mokwena’s tenure as Head Coach of the team.

The club expressed its gratitude to Mokwena for his contributions to the team’s successes during his time as Head Coach, and wished him all the best in his future endeavors. Mokwena will always be considered a part of the Mamelodi Sundowns family.

The decision to part ways with Mokwena was made by the club’s Board, based on the team’s objectives and expectations. The move was not influenced by any individual associated with the club.

Mamelodi Sundowns remains committed to developing and growing South African coaches and players. Coach Manqoba Mngqithi and the Technical Team will take over the training and preparation of the players for the upcoming season.

The team is gearing up to compete in all upcoming competitions, including the historic FIFA Club World Cup 2025, where they will represent the African continent alongside three other teams.
