ACT EXPRESSES DISMAY ON ACTION SA’S X POST
The African Congress of Transformation has expressed disillusionment over an X post that is believed to have been written by ActionSA. Ace Magashule’s ACT released a statement on Saturday 6 April 2024. On 4 April 2024 the official X page of ActionSA, where a party led by the former Johannesburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba, said they had, a day earlier announced the list of political leaders who were most wanted for prosecution. According to Action SA, the list included ACT leader, Ace Magashule, Former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, EFF leader Julius Malema, amongst others. ACT cites that the post was more of a political banter, but an infringement upon the human rights and the dignity.
“As ACT party, we strongly denounce the post made by Action SA and condemn it with the contempt it deserves. It is regrettable that ActionSA would release such a post on the same day they were committing to the IEC pledge” reads the ACT’s statement
ACT leader, Ace Magashule further called on ActionSA to provide the NPA with the evidence and documents pertaining to the alleged Asbestos case and Estina Farm Case.

ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba, said on X that the Individuals who are on the list should be prosecuted based on clear and damning evidence available and further said that they have seen delays and excuses. Mashaba was briefing the media outside the Gupta family’s former Johannesburg residence, known as the “Saxonwold Shebeen”, where he said said his government would expedite investigations and give the National Prosecuting Authority the teeth it needs to put criminals behind bars in their first 100 days of office.
