ALFRED NZO DISTRICT MAYOR WELCOMES ANDM FLEET

Alfred Nzo District Municipality handed over 20 bakkies, 06 Polos, and 04 water cart trucks today on Tuesday, 26 March 2024. Acting Municipal Manager, Unathi Mahlasela confirmed the implementation of the council resolution on a council meeting held in 2023. The amount that was spent by the municipality is the amount that was collected on cost cutting measures the municipality has implemented on its operations.

“This fleet has cost the municipality an amount of + – R25 Million” Mahlasela said.

 She added that this fleet will be distributed across the district. Two polos will be used as meter readers, while another four will be of the administration. 

Water carts trucks will be distributed as per local municipalities of the district.  Welcoming the attendees to the event, Alfred Nzo District Municipality Speaker, Cllr Sixolile Mehlomakhulu appreciated the strides, saying this will of improve the lives of the district communities.

Alfred Nzo District Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr Vukile Mhlelembana applauded the “positive response” of implementing council resolution. These cars will be allocated to local municipalities.
